We, members of The Society for the Anthropology of Lowland South America (SALSA), join our voices with those of A’uwẽ (Xavante) leaders and communities to demand that FUNAI, as well as all relevant state institutions and entities, respect A’uwẽ’s right to Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC) regarding infrastructure projects planned for implementation in A’uwẽ lands.
